|Samuel Kent Culbertson was born on January 24, 1947. He was a
resident of Huntington Beach, California when he entered the United
States Army during the Vietnam War. He began his tour of duty on
August 21, 1967. He was a member of the 25th Infantry Division and
received a rank of SP4. On May 11, 1968, while in Hua Nghia, South
Vietnam, he came under ground fire and received multiple fragmentation
wounds. He died of his injuries. He was 21 years old. His name
appears on the Vietnam Wall—panel 58E, line 18.
He died that we might live free!
